A:Yes! If you have multiple items, you can choose: (1) Ship all together (consolidation - saves money) (2) Ship urgently needed items first via air, rest via sea (3) Ship to different addresses in SL. Just tell us your preference!
Q:What happens when package reaches Sri Lanka?+

Q:Do you offer doorstep pickup of returns?+

Q:Are there any hidden fees?+
A:NO hidden fees! Our quote includes EVERYTHING: (1) Product cost (2) Shipping cost (3) Customs clearance (FREE) (4) Packaging (FREE) (5) Quality check (FREE) (6) Tracking (FREE). Only additional charge is local courier delivery in SL if you choose home delivery (500-1,500 LKR).
Q:Is customs duty included in the price?+
A:Customs CLEARANCE (our service) is FREE. However, customs DUTY (government tax) is NOT included and depends on product type. Most personal items under 50,000 LKR have minimal duty. We inform you of any duty charges before you pay.
Q:Do you charge in USD or LKR?+
A:We charge in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) only! This is a huge advantage - no currency conversion losses, no USD credit card hassles, no international transaction fees. Pay directly to our Sri Lankan bank account.

A:Yes! Consolidation is 100% FREE at RanaXpress. Order from 10 different stores, we combine all into one shipment at no extra charge. This is a paid service at other companies but FREE for you!

A:Sea cargo is 50-70% cheaper but takes 45 days. Air cargo is faster (5-7 days) but costs more. Best strategy: Ship urgent items via air, heavy/bulk items via sea, or consolidate and use sea for maximum savings.

Q:What if the actual weight is different from estimated?+
A:If actual weight is LESS: We refund the difference. If actual weight is MORE: We inform you before shipping - you can (1) Pay difference (2) Remove some items (3) Cancel that product. We always verify weight with photos before charging extra.
Q:Do you charge by actual weight or volumetric weight?+
A:Small/dense items: Actual weight. Large/light items: Volumetric weight (Length x Width x Height / 5000 for air, / 6000 for sea). We calculate both and charge whichever is higher (industry standard). We inform you in the quote.
Q:Are there delivery charges in Sri Lanka?+
A:Colombo pickup: FREE. Home delivery charges: Colombo: 500-800 LKR, Suburbs: 800-1,200 LKR, Outstation (Kandy, Galle, etc.): 1,000-1,500 LKR, Remote areas: 1,500-2,000 LKR. Exact charge mentioned in quote based on your address.

Q:Can I track my shipment in real-time?+
A:Yes! Once shipped, you get tracking number and can track: Chennai warehouse → In transit → Colombo port/airport → Customs clearance → Out for delivery. We also send WhatsApp updates at each stage automatically.
Q:Do you deliver to my city?+
A:Yes! We deliver to ALL cities, towns, and villages across Sri Lanka: Colombo, Kandy, Galle, Jaffna, Negombo, Matara, Trincomalee, Batticaloa, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Kurunegala, Ratnapura, and everywhere else. If local courier can reach, we deliver!
Q:What if I'm not home for delivery?+

Q:Can I change the delivery address after shipping?+

Q:Do you offer same-day delivery in Colombo?+
A:Once customs cleared, Colombo deliveries can be same-day! If clearance completes morning, delivery by evening. However, customs clearance takes 1-2 days usually. So from landing in Colombo → delivery = 1-3 days typically.
Q:What happens if delivery fails multiple times?+
A:After 3 failed delivery attempts: (1) Package held at Colombo office for 7 days (2) You can pickup for FREE (3) Or reschedule delivery (may have small charge) (4) After 7 days, return shipping charges apply. We call you to avoid this!
Q:Can I collect from your Colombo office instead of delivery?+
A:Absolutely! Colombo office pickup is FREE and fastest option. Once customs cleared, you get WhatsApp notification - visit our office with ID, collect your package same day. Office hours: Mon-Sat 9 AM - 6 PM.
Q:Do you deliver on Sundays and holidays?+
A:Local courier deliveries: Mon-Sat only (some areas Mon-Fri). No Sunday/Poya day deliveries by couriers. However, Colombo office pickup available 7 days if you make appointment via WhatsApp!
Q:Can I schedule a specific delivery date/time?+
A:We can request preferred delivery date/time with courier, but cannot 100% guarantee specific time slots. Best option: Track package, when 'out for delivery', call courier directly (we share their number) and coordinate timing.

A:Receiver must show valid ID: NIC, Driving License, or Passport. Name should match order details or be listed as alternate receiver. For office deliveries, company letter acceptable.
Q:Is signature required on delivery?+
A:Yes, signature required for all deliveries. This protects you - ensures correct person received package. If someone else receiving on your behalf, mention their name during order - they'll sign.
Q:Can I inspect package before accepting?+

A:Yes! Heavy items up to 500kg can be shipped via sea cargo. Furniture, machinery, large auto parts, gym equipment all OK. Sea cargo rates make heavy items affordable: 450-1,300 LKR/kg. We handle loading, container shipping, customs, delivery!

A:Packaged, non-perishable food items OK: Snacks, chocolates, spices, dry foods, supplements, protein powders. NOT allowed: Fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, dairy, anything perishable. Food items need proper customs declaration - we handle this.
